OUR STORY
Cait Kenny’s connection to animal care began at age 10, when she posted a handmade dog-sitting flier at her neighborhood dry cleaner. That early love of animals grew through junior dog handling with her German Shepherd and later through professional experience at a busy New York City dog daycare, where she worked with dogs of many breeds, temperaments, and care needs.
After a decade in project management, Cait combined her experience in animal care, relationship-building, and organized program planning to found RR Shepherd in 2024.
PET INSPIRED
RR Shepherd was inspired by Romey and Remy, the bonded Chihuahua mixes Cait and her husband, Robb, adopted in 2022.
After learning that Romey had advanced epilepsy requiring lifelong care and a disciplined medication schedule, Cait experienced firsthand how important reliable, attentive, routine-based pet care can be. The “RR” in RR Shepherd honors Romey and Remy—and the business continues to be shaped by everything they have taught their family about patience, advocacy, and individualized care.
A SMALL FAMILY BUSINESS
Today, RR Shepherd is a small family-run pet-care business supported by Cait and Robb. Together, they provide private boarding, boutique pet sitting, and dog walking with an intentionally limited client list and a highly personalized approach.
RR Shepherd is currently focused on serving the KEVA Flats community in Exton, PA, where close proximity allows for consistent care, familiar relationships, and dependable support.
As Cait continues her professional dog-training education and mentorship, RR Shepherd is also developing limited training services designed for real life in apartment and residential communities.
